2. The BiodiverCities Conference “Cities and Natural Parks”, will incorporate a Site Visit which will be held on the final day of the conference, Saturday 19 September 2015. The Site Visit aims to present a balanced, holistic perspective on urban protected areas challenges by showcasing two visions of the Calanques National Park: one terrestrial and another marine. In the morning, delegates will walk from the Luminy to the Sugiton Cape. In the afternoon, the group will take a boat to visit the costline.


    Site Visit Organisation

     

    8:45 - Meeting under the Ombrière Mirror at the Vieux Port (Old Port)

    9:00 - Departure from the Old Port by public transportation (underground & bus) to Luminy. Meeting at the National Superior School of Architecture of Marseille

    10:00-12:00 - Site walk from Luminy to the Sugiton Cape.

    12:00-14:00 - Lunch at the National Superior School of Architecture of Marseille

    14:00 - Back by public transportation to the Old Port

    15:00 - Boarding for the maritime tour of the Calanques National Park

     17:30 - Back in the Old Port
